Signs!
Lately, Ellie has been showing some recognition of the sign for "food." Today, she initiated the signing for the first time! It was so cute to see her purposefully communicate with me, requesting her breakfast...especially since most of her communicating lately has come in the form of impressive temper tantrums! She perfected them overnight and now screams like a wild, wounded animal if she's not happy. Yesterday, I caused a temper tantrum by being a really mean mommy and not letting her drive her push toy down the stairs. Mean mommy.

Mean, mean, mean mommy! :) It is wonderful that she is starting to use some signs. I think that's one of the best things to help reduce tantrums... if anyone knows how to end them entirely, let me know!
