Our friends, Celena, Kennedy, and Luke, came over today for a playdate. Sweet Kennedy calls Ellie "Baby Ellie with the big hat" -- I guess Ellie's big, striped hat made quite an impression on her last spring when we met at the park. Ellie was happy to share her toys with Kennedy, but she didn't want Luke playing with anything. It was hard to see her snatching toys away from Luke (who is 6 months younger than Ellie), but sweet to watch her playing with Kennedy. She's just loving older girls right now. After lunch, Kennedy gave Ellie a little makeover...
The pre-makeover consultation, during which Kennedy explained that the cream she was applying would make Ellie's face pink, but then turn it blue, green, and yellow

After posing for a few pictures, Kennedy asked Ellie if she wanted to put her head in Kennedy's lap...as Kennedy pushed her head down (gently, of course)

I could not stop laughing throughout this whole post! I am still laughing! We had such a great time. Must get together more often...I mean, we are only 20 minutes apart! Thanks for letting us destroy your house. :) so fun!
Ah, big girl friends! And well, Luke, well stick with it, little guy, pretty soon Ellie will be VERY much interested in her BOYfriends.
Hehehe... couldn't stop laughing about the makeover, so cute! And also feel a little better that Alex isn't the only girl in this family with a thing for "big girl friends" and not sharing with younger kids... the good news is that I can see the light on the other side of the tunnel so you'll be there soon too!
