Toddler deception

Last night, as I was getting Ellie ready for bed, she tooted and then we had the following conversation.

Ellie: Charlie toot.
Me: Charlie's asleep.
Ellie: Daddy toot.
Me: Daddy's at work.
Ellie: Mouse toot.
Me: The mouse tooted?
Ellie: Stinky.

Hehehe! That's too funny! Smart girl... always blame it on someone else!

That is hysterical that she blamed it on someone else!!! I guess it's a girl thing:) And how smart to blame a mouse. . .mom, you can't disprove that one!

Lucky Gracie!! The family dog is almost always the first to get blamed - maybe it was such a tiny toot that a mouse made more sense.

Good thinking, Ellie. Save Gracie until you really need her. ;-)

The best offense is a great defense. Making sure that blame is securely focused on others bodes well for Ellie - politics in her future?
