Charlie’s first day of school
Charlie started going to mother’s day out in early January. He’s actually only been once because the week after he started, a horrible stomach bug went through the school (claiming the sweet Adams boys as its victims), so I kept him home for a couple of weeks, then we went to Colorado, and then the school was closed last week due to the ice and snow. Hopefully, he can start again this week! He seems so young to be going to school, but he’s just a couple of months younger than Ellie was when she started. And I’m so glad that he has the same sweet, sweet teacher that Ellie started with last year – Mrs. Wofford. She’s just perfect for the babies – so sweet and nurturing.
The kiddos on their first days:
Charlie tried to be patient, but the combination of having to wear a coat (one of his least favorite things) and hold a heavy backpack was just too much:

Charlie's first girlfriend
Charlie seems to be partial to blonds. Over the last few days, he has become somewhat obsessed with kissing one of Ellie's dolls. He carries her around and then hands her to you and grunts and whines (he's form of verbal communication at this point) until you hold her up so he can kiss her. Pretty darn sweet.

Ellie's birthday
Since I'm so behind on blogging, I've decided to just do whatever entries I can, regardless of whether they're out of order or whether there are other more important entries I haven't done yet. So Miss Ellie's birthday...
Ellie enjoyed a whole weekend that was all about her! On Saturday, we had a birthday party for her and her friend, Ella, at a gymnastics place. The kids (about 20 of them) had the run of the place and they seemed to love it. And, of course, Ellie got the pink cake that she's been talking about for MONTHS! In all of the excitement, I didn't get any pictures of video on the Flip. I definitely need to track down some pictures from people who were there.
The next day, we had a whole day of birthday fun. Ellie got the dollhouse that we bought for her months ago and thanks to Gaga, Papa and Gigi, she got a whole family of dolls and a bunch of furniture for it. It was/is so sweet watching her play with the dolls:
Grandma Sue got Ellie a stroller for her doll and it's been a big hit -- Ellie likes driving it at ridiculously high speeds and Charlie likes trying to climb in it.
The next day (Ellie was beginning to think that presents were going to arrive everyday), Ellie got some super fun zhu-zhu pets from Shiny Grandpa and Meme. It was hilarious to watch her and Charlie follow them around, but not necessarily want to touch them. ;-)
Ellie received tons of other wonderful gifts from people -- these are just the ones that we happened to catch on film. Thank you to everyone who helped make Ellie's day so special.
