Charlie!

Charlie is here! He arrived at 1:08 a.m. today, weighing 7 lbs. 5 oz. and measuring 19.25 inches long. He's absolutely beautiful and such a sweet-natured baby. Unlike Ellie, he doesn't have much hair -- just some blond peach fuzz, and we haven't seen much of his eyes (although he's very alert for a 1 day old, he's still spending most of his time sleeping), but he definitely has blue eyes. Ellie was very interested in her baby brother and after greeting him repeatedly ("Hi, baby!" "Hi, baby!" "Hi, baby!"), she wanted to hold him, touch his face, point out his nose, etc. It was so sweet to watch her with him -- unfortunately, as soon as we got out the camera, she decided she had had enough, but I'm sure we'll have plenty of opportunities for pictures together.
