Anyone care to place a bet?
Gaga wants to start a pool about when Ellie will take her first step (it seems fitting since we were placing bets about Ellie (specifically, her arrival) before she was even born). So it's fair for everyone, I'll tell you what I know -- Ellie is a pro with the push toy. She can practically run behind it now, but she can't steer. She will walk holding on to just your fingertips, and she can move from one piece of furniture to another. And just recently, she's started standing for a few seconds on her own. Currently, her record is standing long enough to eat two cheerios:

You are really taxing our memory here! Did Ed guess Christmas Day or New Year's Day (I know it's so confusing to know what the actual holiday date is with your schedule!) and did I guess her birthday? Hillary and Adrienne, no fair, you have to be more specific! Can we bet with pesos?

I think you are all being a little too conservative. Her mama was stepping off on her 9-month birthday so I'm betting Ellie is able to do the same before the Hirsts leave for the UK. And think of the practice she'll be able to do up and down the aisles of the plane!

Okay, I'll be more specific. I think she'll take her first step on December 20th. I won the first pool (her gender, weight, length, and arrival date), so I'm feeling pretty confident. Now I need to go wake her up and make her practice. ;-)
I have a vision of a highly motivated Ellie plodding around in all the chaos on Christmas Day reaching for wrapping paper/and or Joseph's toys. My bet is she'll do it first around 18th Dec.
