Catching up

I didn't get a chance to write about Peter, Sue and Sarah's visit. It was so great having them here and we were sad to see them go. Peter and Sue were here for ten days and Sarah was here for two weeks -- it all just passed too quickly! Ellie dubbed Peter "Bapa" and was his little shadow the entire time -- they played outside for hours, checking out Ellie's new water table, walking around the pool area, etc.

It doesn't feel like we did very much (other than eat!) while they were here, and of course, we weren't great about taking pictures, but here's what we did capture:

We took PS&S down to the White Rock Lake area, showed them the old house, the lake, etc. Ellie had fun walking back and forth on the bridge and quacking at the ducks:

Bapa celebrated a big birthday while he was here and we went to dinner at Cheesecake Factory to celebrate. PS&S thought the portions were pretty funny and worth a picture!

Damian decided that PS&S were sleeping a bit too much and started opening Peter and Sue's bedroom door, pushing Ellie through, and closing it behind her. Since she doesn't come with a snooze button, they definitely started getting up earlier!

The only downside of the visit was that it made us wish there wasn't a very large ocean between us! It's hard to imagine that we won't see PS&S until December, but I suspect the time will pass quickly once Baby Hirst 2.0 arrives!
